Well, we all know cigarettes are loaded with carcinogens and substances that we don't want to ingest on a regular basis . . . or God forbid, feed to our children! So, what to do? The FDA, AMA, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and other entities claim GMOs are perfectly safe and have no intention of requiring GMO food labels, because they claim it's unnecessary.
Did You Know . . .
But Do We Need To Avoid GMOs?
Here's One Idea:
In addition to GMOs and pesticides, non-organic processed foods also contain artificial flavors and dyes, excessive sugar and salt, MSG, and a variety of chemicals used to enhance flavor artificially and prolong shelf life. And a lot of these additives are incognito: For example, there are over 50 different ingredients that contain MSG but are listed by another name. The same holds true for sugar. Because my family likes to eat out a couple times a week, I figure we get a regular dose of GMOs, pesticides, MSG, hidden sugars and other unhealthy things anyway, so I like to keep our in-house meals clean.
